Ohh my!
I actually ADORE this layout. It's sooo cute and colourful and funky. Awww!
The navigational menu is awesome as well. I can see you've worked really hard with the css as the comments and input/text boxes look really good.
I love the fact the main page only shows snippets of each blog which you can choose to read more about if you wish. This completely de-clutters the site and makes it look less confusing.
The content is also really orderly and easy to navigate. The headings and sectioning make it so easy and I also love the content you offer!
I'm also totally amazed you've managed to make the html and css completely valid. That's pretty hard considering your site looks really complex.
You've completely transformed the wordpress layout and it's amazing
Well done =D

The layout is lovely, especially
with the clouds going off in the
background. I also adore the sun,
you did a beautiful job on the
layout. Wonderful first impression
there^^.
Looking through your old layouts, I found quite a few that amazed me, for example the confessions one.
Of course, I am going to pick out the few things I didn't like so that you actually get something out of this review :P. I think some of the blends have waaay too many textures in them (of course, thats a taste thing) and look a bit strange (for example the HP ones). Your newer ones are great.
Oh, and another thing I liked: You are not in the standard link classifications like "you, site, me, tutorials..". You have original names :). And you write in proper english, which is great.
Is it just me, or does it load a twee bit slow? Could be that my computer was being a pain.
All in all, you are definatly getting those 5 stars from me

Oh, those are actually old blends which dated back to around 2004 and 2005, thus might not be the best. It loads quite fast on my browser though, it might be the server issue. Will look into that. :) Thanks for the review! :D

What a cute header, all sunny and
bright, I love it.
You have a wonderful blog, and even better visitors content, which is something I love to see in a site.
I know I will be stoping by your site more often, maybe we can even do a affiliation or link exchange, if that's ok?
All in all I give your site a 5 out of 5 rating.

The image is absolutely breath
taking and I love the organization.
Well done. :)

You have such a beautiful site,
that I can't even tell you
about his content right now,
because I am still looking at that
pretty layout. Maybe after being
amazed I will write here about the
content too.

I would love to give you an
in-depth, lengthy review, but
frankly I don't know where to
start. Your layout is outstanding,
your content is interesting, and
you make me want to come back. The
only critique I can think of is
that your site feels a bit
stagnant, between the six week old
update on your front page and other
little things, like the fact that
your reviews haven't been
updated in six months. I understand
things come up, though, so I
don't think it's a big
deal.

Ya, I've been way too busy so the site is sort of being neglected but I'm sooo glad I'm back again! =)

Great site. The layout is neat and
clean and everything is easy to
find. Minor spelling / grammar
errors here and there but overall a
great site.

wow, the preview of your layout is absolutely gorgeous! Oh it looks like you've moved. well wonderful job on this one at least! :)
{NEW}
First of all, how delightful! I love the snowflakes and flowers and moon and buildings all together in the header image. The brown perfectly showcases the beauty and vibrance of the image. Pink and brown are my favorites, and the blue and green look great with it. Basically, you've designed your website beautifully.
I like how you organized your portfolio and the way the categories are set up. I feel like I'm in a candy shop with the pink bullets and those snowflakes. Maybe it's the snow outside my window that is making me gush over what you've created. And I like the idea of different seasons, like the other layout with the sun.

That upper image reminds me of a
more Web 2.0-y version of a puzzle
I just bought. :) It's a
very pretty image, and I wish I
could create things like that. The
layout's all clean and
organized, too, which I
appreciate.
Neato, you offer site reviews! I was just blogging yesterday about how I'm looking for more WPR's to review my site. :) I think I'll submit.

Holy shitsauce, Batman!
Your layout is... Amazing. It's the most unique thing I've seen in all my years on the internet.
I have NEVER given a five and probably never will again. Hands down, your site is spectacular. Bravo.

I absolutely adore your layout.
It's beautiful. The colors and
the way it flows. The only think I
would change is maybe have a
background. It just seems so empty
outside.
I love your section about you. You went into depth which isn't something most people take the time to do. Which is a shame really, it's your site, you should have a lot about yourself on it, I think.
I must say that I truly enjoyed reading your thoughts. Especially about websites and colors, I never thought of it that way, and I myself have scrapped many layouts because I felt that the colors just wern't flowing.
I seriously love your site.

First of all, your layout is
BEAUTIFUL. I was amazed. Your
coding is nicely done,
everything's neatly organized,
as well.
Your blog was really fun to read, honestly. The same can be said about the rest of your website, too! I'll definitely keep my eye on this website.

Your layout is amazing!! I love the
cartoon design, it's very
original and ooh! your brushes, I
must download the next time I have
chance too. I'm also
interested in the articles as well.
You have so much talent, your whole
site is so wonderful and awesome.
Will be bookmaking this one for
sure!

Amazing site! You don't come
across too many of these lately.
I'm usually not a big fan of
one column layouts but your layout
is beautiful. Your content is also
really nice. I love organization
and your site is definitely a good
example of this. The only
suggestion that I have is to change
the navigation links to something
that better shows the category.
But I do like how you did that.
It's really creative.
Excellent site, really. I enjoyed
visiting a lot.

I really love the header and am
curious as to how it was made,
whether you drew it out or found
the images... it's very nice.
I don't think that I like the
fixed background behind it all...
I think I just don't like the
horizontal lines in contrast with
the verticle ones going from the
navigation to above the header
image, if you see what I mean? Plus
the colors are sort of off to me...
maybe if there was a gradient in
the background instead of the solid
lines I would like it better.
Navigation didn't really help me a lot, which is slightly annoying. I like knowing what I'm clicking into. But when I click it, I like the pages I get because they're well organized. You should add more yearnings, that's a very good idea for a page and something I find very interesting, the things people want the most in life. I ignored essence, and have never found a point in any of the things you put there, but obviously I can't look down on a site for having it just because I don't like it. (I just skip those sections always.) I really enjoyed your artwork and I think you do a phenominal job, but it took forever to load each page... I think it would be quicker if you went from the thumbnails to the popups so it didn't have to load a new page and the full image. Like it took so long to load each thing that I'm going to have to come back because I couldn't handle waiting any more, no matter how nice it all is. (Although if that's your trick to make visitors return... it's well done, heh.) I thought that your thoughts section was a little sparse and unoriginal, as I've seen similar rants on many other sites, but if that's what you think it takes to get people to start making better sites carry on. The tutorial for the butterfly was sort of cool, but I wish you had the images in it the entire way... I know that takes awhile to load, but clicking is so not fun...
But basically your site rocks. While it's not perfect, I'm still giving it a 5 because you obviously put a ton of effort into it and you obviously have graphic skills. I think you could prune some of the pages, but I always say that because I think websites should only have the creator's best work and as little other stuff as possible (that includes useless information about the site and little rants that aren't new to anyone.) Keep up the good work though, you have some amazing stuff nestled in there.

The header was a blend made up of a lot of images, I didn't drew them ;) I'm not that good in drawing. haha.. Anyway, there were made from black and white images blended together and colors were added by me. This layout was kind of an experiment with colors, the contrast was done on purpose.. hehe ^^ I think the site section is rather important (at least to me( but that's all right. Regarding the thunbnails, I can do with the image loading on a click on the thumbnails, but that would require javascript enable browsers because of the script I'm using, the "slides" page is for people who don't have javascript enable browsers to view the images too, but I'll think about the suggestions. Thank you for your review. :) Will returned the review tonight or tml. =)

Layout-
Wow! Even though you say its basic it looks really effective but simple.
Some people take ages puting so much work into pictures in there
layout and then people say its too messy or its too much, Which is really annoying! You have good colours Red, yellow and pink are really good colour combinations! The top picture is effective and is very unique and just looks really nice! Also The Layout is loading fine!
all the comments for people are neat and organised. :D Good Work!
Content-
Wow! Your Weblog tells you lots about your self, its also great you
update everyday. Eveyone who loves your site, will come back often
because they know you update often! its also good for your site, becuase no one will every come back if you dont update hardly ever.
the Emoctions are really simple and basic, i like that because there
esay to see, and some emoctions people have are so detail, and make
your eyes sore! You have lots of posts, i didnt read them all because theres lots, i read a few so i know whats going on with the website
and you! :D Real nice font for all your pages, and pictures they are visibal! You have lots about your self, and lots of site history and your history! :D The Rest is Great! :D Its well organised and neat!
Graphics-
You Graphics are so cool! i love the palm tree Wallpaper, i put it as my desktop, it makes me feel relaxed. the graphics are well done and look like you have taken a long time on them. Your avatars are really unique, like all your graphics, of course! Butterfly Effect is really cool
and ive never seen anything like that idea! The "leave your reply" images for speech bubbles are cute and cool! good job!
OverAll-
I would read all of it and comment on all ya stuff! but you got too much things! hehhe lol which is good, GREAT SITE LOVE IT! Rated - 5 star! :D

First Impressions: The layout is
very pretty. The text is spaced
perfectly, and although the
"title" of each of the
blogs slightly doesn't match
the background color. You can only
see it in the high-resolution
great-color monitors. The side-part
of this layout is absolutely
gorgeous. The butterflies are
nicely done, and from past
experience, I know you have a
tutorial on how to make butterflies
like that, which I'll have to
check out later. The blogs are
short enough to not lose
people's attention, but long
enough to give people a feel of
"you". Your layout
repeats very nicely.
Content:
Spirit: How it's nicely organized on this page is an extremely good plus. I like your "Web Design and Designing history" thing. It's very thorough and doesn't look like "A Tale of Two Cities" because of length. Nicely done. Your awards are nice. Your goals are very nicely put. Not very many of them, though. On your "Contact Me" form, though, I'd put your e-mail addresses and such, for people who don't want to use that form.
Essence: I like your "About" page. I'd suggest bolding the more important facts in that paragraph so people don't need to read the entire thing to find a couple bits of information. I like "Updates", except it kindof confuses me. I don't really see the need for this page, I Guess. I like the questions, but people are always. The guestbook is *very* pretty compared the most guestbooks. Your reviews are nicely organized. I like your link buttons, especially the first one. The second one, the text just takes it over, making it look very uneven, and on the third one, I just can't see the "Liberta". I'd probably not list all of the credits down liek that. Probably just list them with commas. Otherwise, it takes up a *lot* of space. The Disclaimer is nicely written and seems to cover everything that needs to be covered.
Inspiring: I'd suggest making different thumbnails for your blends page. The previews you have right now make your blends, no offense, look really crappy. Your blends are very nicely done, and it's sad to see the thumbnails making them look so bad. The doodles are cute. THe thumbnails, once again, look crappy, but they look better than the ones on the other page. Your layout images aren't working, although the previews are. You may want to make a note on the "Others" page, that some of them are wallpapers. I have a couple of these wallpapers saved from before.
Thoughts: I like the "Hotlinking" thing that allows people to comment on it. Good job. On the "My Website Isn't Good?" part: As for your splash pages, I'd probably also add that many visitors are turned off by splash pages, especially ones who aren't webmasters themselves, and will just click straight out of the window. On your "Browser Compabtibility" part, you have "Mozilla" and "Firefox" listed as two different browsers, which they are. Mozilla makes Firefox, like Microsoft makes Internet Explorer. Same browser. I like the rest of your articles, though, and I can't find any issues with them. I like your "Site REviews" page, but why do you post Tres-Chic's review and no one else's? Is she the only one you've ever reviewed? Is there someplace to apply to get a review? If there is, you should probably put the link under this catagory.
Visitors: I like the Visitors section, but like I said above, I'd put the "Reviews" section probably in the "Thoughts" section. I submitted for a review, and added your link to my "Reviews" section. The brush previews are VERY nice. I love them. And your smilies are adorable, too! The layout templates..Nothing to say there, since it's not really done. The "Adoptables" are adorrrrable. I'd adopt them, but I really have no place to put them. The avatars are beautiful. Well, most of them. I really like the "Love" one that's in the middle column. Your tutorials are thorough without seeming scary. The Butterfly effect is *definately* original, so keep that up. I've never seen that gravatar tutorial either.
Final Words: Sorry for the short review, but I just can't find much to say about your website; It's so nicely done! Definately a five and keep up the great, original work.

Regarding the color of the title, I'm using my laptop and it looks great to me, so far there isn't anyone that mentioned that so I guess it's all right to me, thanks for pointing it out though. Even if the color doesn't match, it'll just make it stand out more :p On my contact me page, I did wrote my email there, it's on the first line of the paragraph :) The updates is basically to let people know that my site isn't "dead" and I'm still updating. I use to put the credits with commas, but I feel that it's too cramp together making the page very messy so I list them out although I do admit, their pretty long. The thumbnail issue will be fixed soon, as there is going to be a latest update for the plugin I'm using so no worries about that. "Your layout images aren't working, although the previews are." Which images are your referring to? because all are working for me 0.0 I do know about the wallpaper issue, it's done on purpose dear. :) I've just open by reviews request so she's the only one I've review so far so that's why, Hmmm.. the review request is under visitors, no intention of putting it under thoughts though.. ah well.. This is not a short review dear, you've pointed out some helpful points. Thanks.. the review for your site is er.. still incomplete.. I'm about halfway through.. =]

I don't particularly care for
orange unless it's
acdcompanied by black, but that
doesn't take away from your
score.
I really like how it covers the whole page, top to bottom, the beginning of the blog not starting in the middle or anywhere else. :-)
I love the leaf that appears when you rollover the top links, that's very spiffy.
Content-
I TOTALLY LOVE THE BRUSHES, they are FABULOUS. execpt, they are photoshop CS, and i only have 7.09, so i can't use 'em, which is too bad. I enjoyed the wallpapers, my new desktop has the palm tree one! The avatars were nice, although I only recognized a few people in them.. 2 people from harry Potter were all i saw. THe ones without people were beautiful though! I also loved the tutorial about the butterflies, I will definatly try that out :-D

Thanks for the review. There are image sets for every set of brush so you can dl them and make them into your own brush compatiable with your own version of photoshop or PSP :)

First Impressions/Layout: I\'m
not a real fan of orange so you
would think that I\'d dislike
your layout; but I don\'t.
There is something about the way
you put it together that shows you
are a great webdesigner even though
it is so simple. This is the right
kind of simple however - my screen
is not overcrowded with graphics
but the ones you do have are very
stylish and make up for the fact
that there is no top header image.
The butterflies are beautiful. Your
site loaded quickly and seems to be
optimized for all screen
resolutions. Coding: I love valid
coding. My site isn\'t
entirely valid because of a couple
of devilish dollmakers that I
can\'t make valid because it
stops the code from working. Valid
XHTML strict is something that I
could probably never achieve -
I\'m still at transitional.
However, on your CSS it may be
valid but you have a lot of
warnings - you may want to fix them
because they are really simple
errors. Of course, your coding
looks excellent and I now feel very
inferior to be perfectly honest!
What I hate about XHTML strict is
that all the links open up inside
the same window; I hate having to
right click and open it up in a new
one. I\'m not going to
\'review\' your blogs as
such because they are personal.
However, I felt as if you spoke
mainly about your website and
hardly anything about yourself.
Blogs are meant to be for both. You
speak about things you do, not
really about yourself as such.
There\'s nothing wrong with
that, I\'m just a very nosey
person, ha ha. Spirit> I find
your writing very hard to read for
some reason. It\'s not that
any of your spellings - as yet- are
wrong, but you seem to right more
stilted then fluently. I think you
switch tenses whilst you were
writing in your Online History but
because I am less from perfect with
my English I won\'t criticize
you. Then I found out that English
isn\'t your first language -
Wow. I\'m really impressed by
you! My personal record was that I
change my site layout in 12 hours
after I put up a new one. I think
you should change it to
\"...changed my site layout in
12 hours...\". Now I realise
that I have actually reviewed your
site \'Confessions\'
before for as a practise review for
Honest Truth Reviews. I think I was
a reviewer just as you left.
Incidentally, if you want to see it
you can on :
http://www.strawberrykisses.designc
razy.net/htrsample.php I think on
your \'personality\' page
you need to change
\"nerve\" to
\"nerves\" - bottom of
the second paragraph. I think
\"this\" on the top of
the third paragraph should be
\"these\". I\'m not
criticizing your English because I
know it is not your first language
- I\'m just trying to help
point out anything that may help. I
loved reading your
\'personality\' page
because I find in their biographies
a lot of people talk about
posessions, people around them,
their hobbies but never themselves
or their personality. Your likes -
are in so much detail! I agree with
your love for Harry Potter and hate
of dentists. It is extremely well
written as is everything else in
this section, there are just some
grammar errors to note but enough
to skip over. I don\'t want to
carry on correcting grammar because
I am less than perfect at it.
Essence> You will soon need to
update your disclaimer after the
new year. The copyright will need
to be changed, just in case you
forget ;). I have nothing else to
comment on, this section is very
organised and well done.
Inspiring> You had pop ups on
this part. It might be considerate
to put a little note or warning
because I have all popups disabled
on Firefox and I really hate to
change my settings. Your doodles
really appealed to me and they are
very cute-I\'ve never had any
patience to create such things. All
of your layouts are beautiful and
although I see no real progression
because they are all so good there
is some subtle progress. However
the file sizes have gotten smaller
so you do appreciate the use of
accessibility. Whilst I was viewing
your site the background colour
changed from orange to white on
this section. I\'m not sure if
you\'re doing a layout change
or this is a coding error....or it
could just be my computer. I liked
the \"other\" section
best. Your blends were really slow
loading but I understand that that
cannot be helped other than
compressing them, which sometimes
usually loses quality.
Sorry I have to stop reviewing now but I'll edit it and continue later on ;).

Wow.. thanks for the review.. :) Regarding the CSS, I think (if I'm not wrong) it's due to the new CSS standard which is kind of different from the previous one, I don't have any intention of correcting it until I'm super free =P About the language english, well, yupz, english is not my first language and I don't really use it now sad to say (at least not for writings) Right, thanks for reminding me about the copyright, will do that. :) and the tip about popups warning, will add that soon. Hmm. about the white background, I don't have that problem =x About the blog part, I think you're referring to the latest entry? That entry was "technical", I think other entries are all right. =D Thanks for spending your time on such a detailed review.

gorgeous. Great job on the site. I

Oh wow, your layout blew me away!
The colors are so fabulous! I do
not like the repeating website name
in the right border though. I think
it should just be a solid color
border. The image that shows up
when you hover over the link is a
nice little detail.
The section about yourself is very nicely detailed. Your style of writing is easy to read, which is awesome. I love your artwork and essays or whatever you want to call them.
Overall your website is excellent and the only thing I don't like is that darn right border. xP

That thumbnail for your site caught
my eye and I thought I had to see
it. Anyways, the design is very
unique. Although I don't like
how you placed your site title on
the side as a border. For me, it
makes it uneven. At first, I even
thought "Chirstmas Shopping
anyone?" is your site's
title. Anyways, I'm using
Opera and there's some space
at the bottom of the layout. I
don't know if you meant for
that space to be there but it looks
awkward and cut off.
Content-wise, you have a lot of writings there other than your blog entries. I liked reading your opinions on the thoughts section. Nice job.

Thank you :) For me, well, I think it sorts of balance the layout up, anyway I guess different people have different opinions about it. I've fixed the space at the bottom already, thanks for informing me about that. =D

Oh how I love colourful layouts,
especially well-designed colourful
layouts. And well-coded colourful
layouts. I am jealous.
I am also jealous of your ability to take general content and put your own twist on it to make it seem completely fresh.
Your 'Thoughts' section is a highlight as I love reading others opinions... and your web related thoughts are nothing short of helpful. Well done!

awesome content (though more

I just wanted to take a closer look
at your site because it was one of
the few who didn't have a
girl/celeb whatsoever on it... and
I waited for it to load and when
the header suddenly appeared... I
just thought... WOW...
The colors of the header are AWESOME... and it's really great... the only thing I find a bit strange is the writing above the F where it says CF... it seems a bit "turbulent" if you know what I mean XD
You write a lot about yourself.. which is great and very interesting... and you have plenty of content for your visitors... which is really great aswell...
Apart from that you're perfectly valid... even with strict.. realllllllllly great and double thumbs up from me =D
I considered giving you a 4 because of the header stuff (the turbulent thing) but after I've seen all the content etc I give you a 5 because it's great :)

Hi Dayna! I just noticed that I
haven't given you a review,
huh? The new layout is gorgeous, I
love the header. The colours of
your sidebar are really pretty too,
pink and orange remind me of the
Dunkin' Donuts logo.
Mmmmmmm.
My complaint is, um, the background's too green? Your content area is already green, so especially when I scroll past the sidebar, the pretty bright colours from your header does not continue throughout the layout. Not a big deal, but I want to say it anyway. =P
I love the "..." as the "more" links in your sidebar. Your sidebar is also very neat and short, I should follow suit, actually. ^^;
And you know that you inspired me to use WP pages for my site, too! It's not all done yet, but really, things are so convenient now, not needing four windows open at once (Windows Explorer, Firefox, Dreamweaver, FTP program) whenever I'm editing pages. Making my plugins and theme pages writable also makes it so much easier.
But anyway, to Spirit. I love how your list bullet changes colour when hovered, the only problem with that is, as I discovered recently, is that it takes a couple of seconds of hovering before the hover image is downloaded and shows up. What I did for my site was to make the two images in one image, one on top of another, with a good amount of transparent area between them. (In case I have really, really long lists.) Then I just control the rollover with the background-position property in the CSS.
Your writing style is very nice, easy to understand and pleasant. The gifts and awards page is neat, with uniform thumbnails.
Essence. I have nothing much to say, everything is neat and organised. I noticed that your link buttons don't have their width and height specified though, making the text below that section move lower and lower as more images are being downloaded. It doesn't take much to add width="88" and height="31", does it? ;)
Oh, I noticed that on the links in/out page, the last link has a comma too. That's probably because everything is controlled with WP, so I guess you can't do anything about that? "Please do not direct-linked them." I think it's "Please do not direct-link them." Present tense.
Inspiring. I've never been a big fan of "blends", but yours are beautiful. I usually dislike them because everything is mushed up together with a bunch of brushes on top, making me not recognise any objects or people in it. Yours are not only neat (I've said that word so many times already!), but they have harmonious colour schemes that give a certain mood or tone.
Oh, and specifying the size of all the thumbnails, just like the link buttons would help the loading of the pages, too. The images will stop shifting to the left as the others are being loaded.
Thoughts. I like these articles a lot, and agree whole-heartedly on some of your opinions. "My website isn't good. Why?" would help a lot of new webmistresses and webmasters, I'm sure.
Several of the articles say "An extract from one of my article." on top, but I think the proper grammar is "An extract from one of my articles." with an 's'.
Visitors. You have very nice goodies here, I especially like your smilies. The tutorials have been very helpful to me, thank you very much for writing them.
I think that's it. Oh, I hardly even complained about anything. Just couldn't find anything else, I suppose. =| Overall, really lovely site with helpful, interesting content. Congratulations!

I've been to this site lots of
time, Dayna. I commented for your
blogs too haha.
Anyways, I love the layout design. It's green and I love green. All the colors for textareas, links and headers seem fine to me but I have one thing I don't like about the links. On your navigation, there these flowers that are bright green and they change when you hover over it. I don't like that bright green. The gray hover color is fine though.
Your avatars in the vistors section are really pretty and your tutorials are helpful too.
In your art gallery, your art its beautiful. You are S-U-P-E-R talented. I'm jealous. XD
Once again, congrats on your move to a new host.

I've reviewed you before, so
I'm going to start reviewing
from right where I am in the visit
this time ; p your trip to hanoi! I
love this photo gallery. I actually
want to visit it looking at these
pictures and reading your short
description of your impression of
Hanoi. I wish so that you would use
real thumbnails instead of height
and width tags, it took a while to
load even on my high-speed DSL
connection because sometimes things
just don't go as fast as the
49.99 a month they claim....
The art section is quite full, I love it. You have such a 'soft' style in your digital work. It's very lovely. I like your internet-ettiquette type pieces, however I did want to point out that 'kinda, gonna, and cus' are not -internet- slang, they're mostly Southern USA slang which are now (with perhaps the exception of 'cus') defined in the dictionary. We have accents (i'm from the south) and make our contractions 'softer' than what people in the north do, and now they've become acceptable alternatives. This is a very extensive section, and I appreciate it and intend to read through all of it : ) I love seeing these for some reason.
The only problem I found on your site was the non-thumbnails... otherwise I didn't come across any broken links or images. You did a very nice job. Your site is gorgeous and interesting.

Thank you :) I'll keep the thumbnail issue in mind. I would love to keep those pictures I took from Hanoi, but due to space problem on my host, he cut down on mine. I've no choice but to delete them from my server. :( Anyway, I have got no idea that those are not internet slang... Here in singapore, those are considered internet slang as least for the people here... Opps... Thanks for telling me that =)

Love the layout, there are a few
things that I might change but more
on that later.
Why do you have a rotating quote in your blog entries? Wouldn't it make more sense to set it up so that you could add a quote that coincides with every entry? It may take a little bit of time depending on your journal application but I feel that if you're going to have a quote in the middle of an entry it should have something to do with that entry.
Now that that's out of the way, onto your layout. Generally speaking it's great. It's very beautiful, and you've made nice use of white space so that everything doesn't feel too cramped. I might change the size of the image and change the sidebar colour a little lighter but that's about it for the actual apperance. I'm normally a stickler for layouts by the way.
Still you have some things that could easily be changed to allow for more accessability throughout browsers, mainly IE. To center your layout in IE, center the text of the body tag (then override that for your container). To allow for the li:hover you have around your site try looking into this tutorial: http://www.xs4all.nl/~peterned/cssh over.html . Lastly for your links you want want to try a "sprite" preloader found here: http://www.alistapart.com/articles/ sprites/. You can easily use this technique in your CSS by adding a background to bother your non hover and hover links, switching between the top half (which would be transparent I'm assuming) and the bottom half which would be your current image.
Since your a person who liked valid coding, I went through all your pages and found no errors. However header tags are generally used for all headers (For your sidebar as well) and they show up in sequential order. The h1, then h2 not h4. Both things will not show up on the validator (XHTML 1.1 might) but are common practice and help out visitors who may be veiwing your site by other means (PDA, text-aonly browser, ect..)
Not a lot to say, about your content. It's perfect the way it is. And it's all organized in a neat and easy to read fashion. Well done.
EDIT::// I have IE 5.5, that may be why there is a difference.

Hmm.. just a question, isn't the site's layout centered in IE? I view it on mine and it does.. Anyway, thanks for the 2 links, I'll check those out when I have the time. Thanks for reviewing.. =) Edit: Oh.. I see... Thanks for telling me that. I've added the text-align: center to my body tag so that it aligns for other broswers too...

For some reason (the 56k modem?)
the images took forever to load.
But I waited, basing that on the
screenshot. It was worth the wait,
especially since the actual content
is viewable while the images load.
You have obviously put a lot of
yourself into the creation of this
site. I like that you call the site
info spot "essence",
along with my partiality (is that
an english real word?) to your
navigational theme in general. All
of the following elements are
present: plenty of information
about the author, various types of
art, great design.... a lot to
explore. There are some
spelling/grammatical errors, but
I'm sure you'll catch
them. Keep up the grand work. P.S.
I like that your
"dailies" only include a
few people links, with the option
to view more links out - instead of
a 100 links long
'blogroll'. It leads me
to believe you actually visit those
"daily" links.
That's fantastic ;)

The slowing loading time was mainly due to my host. The main image is only 24kb and the totally loading should not exceed 35kb... by right it should be pretty fast.. Thankyou for reviewing my site :)

Doesn't look really appealing.
Colors hmm a little too light.
Maybe not suitable to my liking :)

I've been visiting your site
for awhile, if anything. Your
designs are always so polished, but
they basically seem the same.
There's no real deviation from
the vein you've been going in
for awhile. Same applies to the
current layout.
Although, I would have made the mouseover on the navigation bar a lighter shade of blue as opposed to nearly blending into the background.
Now, I always thought this was funny. In the sappy Piano story, the following line has an error: "I prefer that students (especially boys!) begin at an earlier age, which I explained to Robby. But Bobby said that..."
Anyway, perhaps I'm a wee bit bias to your site and all, since you joined my clique Stockholm Syndrome and I'm picky about members, but I enjoy it muchly. You make a mark for yourself, and it's noticable, so that's saying a lot, mmkay.

I love the simple layout, and the
colours are easy on the eyes.
Simple. yet not too simple.
The navigation is very well placed, howver I dislike the hover - as on my computer it takes a while for the pale blue to load again.
The content isn't that impressive, there isn't much there.
But overall - good.

Hmm... I feel that there are pretty much quite a lot of content about me and my site. I think you were prefering to the lack in the typical visitors content. It's suppose to be a personal site not a freebies site so.. yup.. I guess that's what my site is lacking... :) Thank you for reviewing.

Design: Overall, an extremely well
designed site. You've kept the
layout simple and tasteful, and the
colour scheme works very well.
It's subdued and calm without
being too boring, and the tulip
photo (besides being gorgeous)
works very well to add interest and
brighten the page. A small
suggestion I'd make would be
to not dither the brownish-pink
colour (the one underneath the
site's title), as the pattern
from the dithering is actually
quite noticeable.
Usability/functionality: The navigation is well-placed and clearly labelled - so clear, in fact, that I don't think the "navigation" header is necessary. Your text size is small but very readable, and the margins help to define and separate the content. However, I would suggest creating more contrast between the background colour and the text colour - it's not exactly difficult to read, but it could definitely be easier.
Coding: Excellent XHTML - I'm glad to see that you've used the strict doctype. Not only does it validate, but for the most part you've also separated structure from presentation. My only suggestion would be to use paragraph tags instead of line breaks in your entries, as they're more structurally correct.
Overall, an excellent site.

The graphic is lovely, the only
criticism being that there's
some quality loss around the site
title where the brown goes a bit
murky. I'd like to
congratulate you on giving a new
twist to the whole 'calming
colours' & flowers thing
that's going around. I, for
one, love the feel of a darker
approach.
I didn't quite understand why 'thought & opinions' had 'doodles' listed under it. I know that there are a number of interpretations of the word 'thought', & a number of ways to delineate them, but it still felt a tad misleading. In your last link here you've written 'A good web site'. In the interests of consistency you should probably capitalize that phrase to match the rest of your navigation (yes, I totally noticed that, haha). I enjoyed the way you write, and that you refrained from listing bands & movies. Hurrah!
I personally took no interest in your visitor content (things like the read 'True Friendship' for example), and I was rather disappointed by the lack of variety here. Some of it even fell into the stereotypical vain you seem to despise (say, an icon of Avril Lavigne splattered with brushes). Well, a lovely site nonetheless. 4.

Very nice design. It's
pleasing to the eyes, everything is
in sync & it represents a
classic beauty really. The colors
you used go wonderfully together. I
love the pink, red & brown,
very unique. The background is also
very nice & it goes well with
the layout. 5/5 on the layout for
sure.
Navigation is clear & tidy, a major plus. I like the rollover image effect, it's a nice touch & adds that special something to the site. It's clean, simple & serves its purpose, which is wonderful. 5/5 on that as well.
I must say the little quotes of wisdom you have before each of your blogs is ingenious. That's something very unique & it tells me just how deep your thoughts & personality really is. You blog often which is also a major plus, good job. Your blogs are very well written & interesting to boot. Your content is very nice also. You included information on yourself & that's a plus. I really enjoyed looking at all of your artwork, it was really well done, great job on that as well. I was a little disappointed on not seeing some photos of yourself/friends/family on the site, but I guess you most likely have a reason for not posting photos on the site or else you would have had some. It's no biggie so I won't deduct any points there. It's just a personal preference of mine to be able to see some photographs. :) You've guessed it 5/5 there too.
So all in all I loved your site. From the layout to the blog & to the content, it was all very well done. The coding was also spectacular. It was neat, tidy & well done also. Good work!
There was just one little thing that was showing up a little wide on Internet Explorer. The blog section was having some words cut off on the left side so you might want to look at that. The other thing I would suggest in your section about you, on each of the inside pages having a (« back) button so that it's easier to return to the previous "about you index" page. So other then those two tiny things, the site receives a 5/5 from me. Wonderful work done hun, keep up the great job! :)

Ah, first impression has me very
taken with your site. Very pretty
tulips, the whole floral theme is
great. I like the background
texture too, elegant. The
green/brownish color seems a bit
off, though I'm just picking
at straws now.
The menu is gorgeous. Not only does it add to the look of the site, it's functional and easy... no complaints there.
After going through your entire site I think I could gush for hours.
Beautiful site Dayna. 5/5

Okay. Why are you here?
Seriously you don't need any reviews to tell you that you are one awesome person. Trust me, you have amazing skills with graphics and your web skills are awesome. No one needs to tell you that, I am pretty sure you already know. The header is really soothing and the colors are just so great. Your choice of words are interesting and really give you some feel of whats going on. I can't tell you much. Just that you have one heck of a way of getting your ideas out there. 5/5

I like the chosen words around the
site. I can tell that your a very
creative, literary person. Although
the layout picture isn't
engaging, it's pretty and
relaxing. I like the soft colors of
the site and the layouting is well
done. I also admire your blogging
layout with the quotes. That's
unique. It's very
professional, which isn't
necesarily a bad thing, but
it's hard to get so worked up
and WOWed by it, cause it's
quite common here and there...if
you know what I mean. But your art
is lovely. I especially like your
fallen memories one and the
hermione/draco one. It's
pretty.

Simplicity is cool and if you want
it as a literature site, the whole
set-up is just perfect. It's
also unique and calm to the eyes.
The layout will make you focus on
the content. And my favorite part
is that your site is Validated!
Content is so one of a kind! Writings of people are really entertaining. But I think you need a little tweaking with the sidebar format because it's kinda common. Other than that is great!

Hey there! =) Ooo professional
looking site. Your "screen
cap" is a little iffy though.
I suggest just a regular screen
capture for ys.nu - so that it
doesn't resize funny. Anyways!
On to the review.
First Impression: Like I said - very professional looking, looks good in both IE and Mozilla *claps*. I love the earthy greens! I've always been a sucker for green - especially when it is used properly. Great job. I like the mix of modern photo manipulation on older victorian looking patterns and pictures. Good work! =)
Layout: 1) Design - Very nice use of two columns, and the background adds an originality to it that makes it even more appealing. The way you've made it so simple to understand is excellent. 2) Navigation - Easy to find .. and you have original names for them! Yay, finally. =) One little nitpick - your navigation links are in the order "Life, Destiny, Soul... etc" and your sidebar has "Destiny, Life, Soul... etc" - but I really like how you matched your headers on your sidebar to your navigation. =) Very nice! 3) Other - at the bottom of your pages you've copy and pasted a piece of your layout, or so it seems, which looks good. But I'd suggest taking a part that didn't have the layers on top etc. Just have it the same darker brown/green. It would pull the site together better at the bottom. The colour choices you have incorporated into your design are great. =) VERY nice.
Content: 1) Main Page - Whoa.. I just realized your quotes change on refresh. o_O I likes! =P Anyways your blog is well organized and interesting! I like your comment links, they blend in really nice - are subtle yet stand out enough so that I don't have to search for them. And I like your sidebar - but I'd suggest switching Destiny and Life sections. 2) "Life" - Er... lol, I guess I already talked about your blog =P I also like your archive section, very nice and simple. 3) "Destiny" - Nicely done! No apparent broken links. I like the thumbnails you have made for your awards =). Some grammar errors... here's a few:
- About
- "a personal site own by me, Dayna" Own should be owned.
- "interactive stuffs" Stuffs should be stuff.
- "and brushes used was from" Was should be were.
- There are also quite a few sentence errors on this page, you may want to proof read it a little bit?
- Layout Archive
- "on my site use to feature" Use should be used.
- "by me and is not" Is should be are.
- "download or used" Used should be use.
- There are a few more mistakes.. again proof reading will help - don't forget to keep the tenses of your verbs constant.
- Credits
- "but I did not" Should be 'But are not'.
Oi. Your site server has just crashed on me o_O Oh never mind, we're back. ALL IS WELL. Lol. Okay so over-all just double check your grammar etc. Remember - that writing is a BIG part of your site. It's what separates the ppl lyke dis from artists like you. 3) "Soul" - No broken links =) *thumbs up* I'd suggest dressing up your Contact me page a little. It looks a little plain compared to the rest of your site. This section has grammatical errors as well o_O but I'm going to leave you to find those =P I like the content on this page. I'd suggest linking the pages you got your awards (for graphical challenges) though. It would definitely be a favourite of mine. =) 4) "Arts" - Okay, I really enjoyed your art! And the way it was layed out was okay.. but there were some really large graphics hidden there. I also think you need better organization - or give us a description of each one.. that way it becomes more personal =) 5) "Visitors" - Oh wow.. lots of links to go through. o_O lol. Fairly original content. I'm impressed, well done. Again, a few grammatical errors and such but no broken links. Well done.
Oi. That's a hugely long review. I usually comment on coding and my overall impression too... but my fingers are going numb =P So! Congrats on the 4/5 =) I really enjoyed your site and will be checking back often.

I need to look at your code... but
I did anyways (=P), and
there's nothing that struck me
as wrong or anything.
Many of your blends are really good... and I don't really like blends at all, so I was surprised about that hehe.
All of your content is good and in depth - I can't really find anything bad about it. The pixels are so cute, too! ^_^
There is one thing I'm unsure about - your sidebar. There's something about the order that just seems off, a little bit.
I didn't read much of your blog, but what I read was fine.
Overall, I really enjoyed your site :) And I absolutely love the layout (I know I already said that, but I keep stopping and looking at the picture, hehehe ^^U)! ^_^ 5/5

At first I thought the navigation was different skins, and I was like "ooh yay more pretty layouts" and when I saw they didn't change I was like "hmm, somethings wrong" But soon after I realised that the content changed, and I'm really not that bright. lol, inner blonde moment there.
Your blends and designs are so lovely. I wish I could blend nicely like you. They are all so retro and pretty. :)

The layout. It's green, simple
and it loads fast. It's very
simple, not so bright nor dark. But
the color of your navigation is a
bit dull (for me).
The graphics are really great. I love the quality of the blends. Everything on the site is well organized. :D The credits were properly given, which is good.
I rally can't say that much, coz the site is almost perfect. Keep it up!

The navigation images has a gradual highlight script over them... so that explains the opacity.. ^^ thanks for reviewing :)

I have always admired your site.
You seem to have a unique talent
for anything blends related, as I
have never failed to see stunning
blends used in your past layouts
(as well as your current one). :)
Your current layout looks beautiful. Simple yet elegant. The colours complement each other nicely. (I am a sucker for one-colour themed designs.) And I also love the way everything is set out. Very organised.
Your bio page is intensive and provides a lot of information about you. Everything is also neatly categorized into headings which define your personality, education...etc. (Good luck for your O'Level results!) You have plenty of content to keep your visitors occupied as well, and that is a plus. :P

Woah. Those are nifty links there
sista. I'm very fond of nifty
little things like that. Though,
it's kind of hard to navigate.
I have to look down at the status
bar, or just wing it. And I'll
have you know, just winging it,
doesn't always work out.
I like the layout. It's so cool. Refreshing. Makes me want to take a drink of ice tea. It emits the word "Ahh" said when you're swaying back and forth in a hammock. It's spiff.
You've got a lot of good content. Lots and lots of coool stuff to look at. I could spend hours just looking at everything. But I willn't, and just say the stuff that I did look at, it's nifty. Yeserie.
4/5. Feels like somethings missing. Like you're swaying the hammock because you've got nothing better to do. Like you're trying to remember what you've lost. Or something.

I love your site. I love the way
you made the colors match and
blend; I love how you organized
your content! ^_^ It's very
clean and neat and your design

When I opened your site in my
browser, I was instantly wowed.
What a gorgeous layout! This is one
of the best I've seen, having
all the elements I look for:
neatness, organization, graphics,
and nice little touches here and
there.
The content is minimal yet enjoyable, but I think your greatest strength is in the images. I could look at your blends for hours. :)

unfortunately this is just an ego
boost, haha. I love how everything

anything bad to it. I have no

I like the layout but the text on
the grey background where your blog

bad eyes to begin with and i'm
not interested in making them worse

The blend up top is beautiful. I
also loved the grayish blue you
used for the content area. If you
could, never change the layout ;]
The navigation is confusing though.
It blends in TOO well with the
picture. Yes designwise it\'s
great, but as for function, eh...
Other than that, your content is
great and you have a lot of talent.

I like the blend for the header.
It is bold in it's variety of
colors. I also like the photo
shots in the left corner. It adds
an interesting aspect to your
layout. However, I do think you
could have preserved a bit more of
the original header image. Right
now, it looks slightly over blended
on the left (behind the squares).
That is probably more personal
preference because I like the
beauty that images, which are not
heavily edited, elude.
The second thing I notice about your site is that the readability is low. You might want to increase the contrast between the background and text to several shades darker. I've seen quite a few low contrast layouts lately and though light color fonts may suit some, I do believe that the boldness of the header image isn't carried forth to the color of the content itself. It seems the content is taking back seat behind your layout. Seeing as your layout has a margin and the top, I think one at the bottom would suit nicely.
Your content in regards to your site and girl section is thorough and nicely divided into categories. I'm an organization freak so I like that the categorizing. There really isn't anything that stands out to be different in the Visitors section, but originality is hard to come by these days. I have trouble with that myself. I personally like articles written by the owner as opposed to stuff taken from chain mails and what not as they seem to catch my interest much longer.
Overall, I admire the constant effort you put into your site, as well as the frequent updates in the blog.

Thanks Jen for reviewing my site. I have changed the font color to a darker one as many people have pointed out the fact that the text will too faint and quite hard to read. About having the white margin at the bottom.. I have not yet figure out how to do that, so I guess I'll just have to stick with this first.. =))

Oooo. The layout is pretty. The way
you put it together goes together
very nicely. I like how it's
not just one picture stuck there,
but that there's something
done to it. The part where it says
"Fall Memories" is kind
of hard to see, but I don't
think it makes anything look bad.
The font on the right side is hard
to see. It would help if you'd
make that a bit brighter.
I found some spelling and grammar problems, but nothing that's too big. You started web designing only sometime last year in August?! Wow. It looked like you've been web desiging for a long time.
The articles under "Visitors" are interesting to read. And I love your art! Each blend is not the same. I see a different style in each one.
I have no complaints about your site. It's nearly perfect, keep working on it.
I give you 4/5 =]

Hi! :D
First Impression:
A pretty, clean site with a soothing appearance. It's also very apparent that you take care and pride of your site, keeping it updated.
Layout:
It's a lovely layout, happily devoid of glaring and painful colours! The only thing is, as lovely as the banner is, there's nothing there that immediately grabs me, you know? It's beautiful but perhaps a little bit bland. :\ Also, the text is a little difficult to read for me and I'd prefer it just to be a little bit darker so that the contrast is a little higher.
Content:
Firstly, it's lovely to see a regularly updated blog!
Your content is varied and interesting, with loads of information about yourself and the site, as well as gifts and information for visitors. I particularly liked your articles section. 5/5 for this bit - faultless.
Validation:
Your CSS validates but not XHTML. Go on, take the leap and go for 100% validation. ;) Your errors aren't horrendous, so it shouldn't be too bad! :D
Score:
4/5. :) A lovely site. I'll visit again.

wow, the layout is just absolutely
stunning. I just love it. its
beautiful - but the font is REALLY
extremely hard to read, so I would
suggest making it a darker
color..perhaps a dark brown would
be better, because it is so small
and light and I can barely read it
at all. Other than that, everything
looks great- you have a lot of
content too.

Your site is nice and organized. I
didn't like it much but
that's just my opinion. It
seemed as if there was too much

fair, but the whole page seems as
if its fighting together, wanting
to know what's going to get
more attention.

It's gorgeous. Nice use of the

My only suggestion would be to maybe put a continuing line down the left side of your updates to separate the 'x' links from the the actual content. That confused me for a while and looks a little bit sloppy. I think there needs to be a more distinct difference between the too.
